Palazzo Grassi – Punta della Dogana – Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi

Since the opening of Palazzo Grassi in 2006, following the acquisition by Francois Pinault, PCM Studio has followed relations with the Italian media for the Venetian institution to which Punta della Dogana was added in 2009. The two exhibition spaces dedicated to contemporary art, renovated by the Japanese architect Tadao Ando, alternate between collective and monographic exhibitions. The will of Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana is to share the extraordinary Pinault Collection with the public and to deepen the privileged relationship it has developed with the artists, in particular through the creation of works specially conceived for its spaces. Since May 2013, the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi has strengthened the wide cultural programming. Again designed by Tadao Ando, the 225-seat auditorium offers an intense calendar of events – conferences, concerts, screenings – and underlines the desire to establish a dialogue with the Venetian and international public.
