The Perfect Tannery

Atipografia, Arzignano (Vicenza)

The Perfect Tannery, curated by Elena Dal Molin and Lynda Scott, from an idea by Gaetano Castellini Curiel, is an unpublished photographic project, specially conceived, dedicated to the tanning district of the Chiampo valley, on display at Atipografia, non-profit association for the promotion and development of contemporary culture in Arzignano (Vicenza). The exhibition, with two unreleased parallel paths, tells the renewed face of the district through the images of two great masters of photography, both members of Magnum Photos, Stuart Franklin (London, 1956) and Mark Power (Harpenden, 1959).
The project is promoted by the eight major companies in the tanning industry, together with the Acque del Chiampo purifier, UNIC – National Union of the Tanning Industry, Confindustria Vicenza, the tanning section, Intesa Sanpaolo and the Municipality of Arzignano.
