Roger de Montebello | Ritratti di Venezia e altri ritratti

Museo Correr, Venezia

An exhibition curated by Jean Clair

Open to the public: extended until Sunday 1 October 2017

The Foundation of the Civic Museums of Venice presents, on the occasion of the third edition of MUVE Contemporaneo, the Roger de Montebello exhibition “Portraits of Venice and other portraits” by the art historian and essayist Jean Clair, open to the public by May 13 to September 10, 2017, at the historic setting of the Correr Museum in Venice.

Dedicated to the Franco-American painter Roger de Montebello, who moved to Venice since 1992 and graduated in art history from the University of Harvard, the monographic exhibition offers a series of works representative of his research: portraits of people, bullfights and paintings that capture the lagoon city with a metaphysical taste.
