[Free admission, Tue-Sat from 11.00 to 19.00.]

Following the great success of the public and critics, M77 Gallery announces the extension of the exhibition About Maria Lai, until Wednesday 7 November.

The appointment will be set in the context of a refined selection of works, set up in the spaces of the M77 Gallery.

Maria Lai (Ulassai, 27 September 1919 – Cardedu, 16 April 2013) is today one of the great names on the international art scene. His works are present in important international museums and in some of the most prestigious private collections. With Legarsi alla montagna (1981) and the involvement of the entire town of Ulassai, he created the first work of relational art in Italy, distorting the traditional relationship between author and spectator of the work, transforming the public into the true author of the artistic act.

The artist was celebrated in 2017 both at the 57 Venice Biennale and at Documenta 14, in the two locations in Athens and Kassel, and in 2018 she was the protagonist of the important monographic Il filo e l’infinito at Palazzo Pitti in Florence.
