M77 Gallery | Nino Migliori | Il Tempo, la luce, i segni

open to the public: until January 27, 2018

M77 Gallery presents the exhibition centered on research and experimentation between the 1950s and 1970s by Nino Best (Bologna, 1926), one of the great masters of European photography of the twentieth century.

Time, light and signs go through Thirty years of Best’s work, highlighting the evolution and the many inventions that have flanked a photographic practice since the beginning, based on a passionate narration made of human delicacy.

The exhibition presents itself as a sort of circular journey through three “series” of the Bolognese photographer’s production: the first avant-garde experiments of the 1950s, research from the 1970s, and the representation of Italy from the 1950s which, from the ‘Emilia Romagna (The series “people of Emilia”) in the small towns of the deepest South (“People of the South”), faced the post-war rebirth.
