The MilanoCard Group presents, from Friday 26th October to Sunday 24 February 2019, Tutta mia la città! From the roofs of the Gallery, the photographic story of Milan, a journey through images in collaboration with the Milanese Photographic Circle, an association that has been operating continuously in Milan since 1930, the Civico Archivio Fotografico and the photographer Andrea Cherchi, set up in one of the most evocative places in the city, the Highline of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.
In a metropolis in continuous social and urban evolution, the whole city is mine! is the story in images of Milan yesterday and today through over one hundred black and white shots. The itinerary traces 150 years of history, starting from an image of the Gallery of 1867, when the architectural masterpiece was still under construction, before becoming one of the symbols of the Lombard capital and “living room” of the Milanese, to finally arrive to more recent photographs. The route ranges through the different metamorphoses made by Milan in more than a century of history, passing from the most iconic places, such as the Duomo, the Castello Sforzesco and the Navigli, to the new visionary skyscrapers that have revolutionized the city skyline. A journey that compares the same city areas as they used to be and as they are today.
