Photo exhibition promoted by the CRC Foundation

The CRC Foundation, in response to success in public, extension of the Michele Pellegrino exhibition. A photographic parable, edited by Enzo Biffi Gentili, until Sunday 7 October.

Set up at the Monumental Complex of San Francesco in Cuneo, the exhibition is an anthological exhibition dedicated to the Cuneo photographer Michele Pellegrino who retraces 50 years of his career.
The exhibition itinerary includes 75 photographs divided into 19 monothematic sections and starts from the nave of the former Church of San Francesco to end in the chapels, on a journey that starts from the portraits of the peasants of the 70s, up to the mountain landscapes from the 80s to today.

The title of the exhibition is inspired by a reflection by Cesare Pavese, the illustrious writer from Cuneo whose 110th anniversary this year marks his birth. The writer’s words become a sort of exceptional guide for the exhibition, accompanying the visitor among the images on display: as in a game of mirrors, Pavese himself illustrates Pellegrino’s work and not vice versa. Both artists are united by the intolerance towards the label of realist and naturalist narrators given by many critics, when it is instead the symbolic perspective that directs their artistic plots.
