The MAN museum on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of activity, from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 February 2019 celebrates three special days dedicated to the discovery of the institution’s future and past since its foundation in 1999.

For this occasion, MAN exceptionally opens the doors of the historic building in Piazza Satta, a new acquisition of the museum which will host temporary exhibitions and staff offices in the coming months, setting up a double exhibition in the form of a multimedia story: the spectators they will be accompanied on an unprecedented journey through the halls of the building to discover the future set-up (currently undergoing restoration, with a project signed by the architect Lorenzo Marratzu) through the use of augmented reality produced and conceived by the Inoke studio in Nuoro which will make three wings of the new museum spaces concretely usable.

In parallel, a second part of the exhibition itinerary, curated by the artist Daniela Frongia (San Gavino Monreale, 1981), traces the museum’s activity from 1999 to today through invitations, posters, postcards, but also video and photographic materials transforming the space into a Wunderkammer dedicated to MAN.
