Galleria Tommaso Calabro

Tommaso Calabro art gallery was founded by Tommaso Calabro in Milan in 2018. The gallery specializes in modern and contemporary art. His exhibition program focuses on exhibitions that encourage a new reading of Italian and international modern art, often through unprecedented comparisons between historicized artists, or between modern and contemporary artists.

The gallery is located on the main floor of Palazzo Marietti, a neoclassical building of Renaissance origins in Piazza San Sepolcro in Milan. A nineteenth-century staircase with red marble handrail leads to the exhibition rooms – for a total of over 400 m2 – each characterized by an inlaid wooden floor, stucco decorations and frescoes.

Tommaso Calabro was born in Feltre, Belluno, in 1990. After studying at Bocconi University in Milan, at the Courtauld Institute of Art and at King’s College in London, he began his career at the Sotheby’s auction house in Milan. From January 2016 to April 2018, Calabro directed the Nahmad Projects art gallery in London. He currently collaborates with Bocconi University in Milan as guest professor.
